This book is NOT available to be given away.

With courage, grace and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of WWII and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen:

The Women’s War.

What GREAT read!

In love we find out who we want to be.

In war we find out who we are.

This book was the August choice for the local Pageturners Book Club and what a GOOD pick! (You can find out about joining the Book Club by contacting the Mae Bruce Library at 409 925-5540.)

It totally captures real life during WWII in France. The author uses great restraint in describing the horror in order to tell the story without making it so depressing that no one wants to read it, but she doesn’t ignore what is really taking place either, which makes for a GREAT read.
