Mrs. Faye’s Fried Okra

Ingredients

cut up fresh or frozen okra

oil or bacon grease or both

corn meal, salt & pepper

 

Directions

Fry your okra in your oil for about 30 minutes until all the slime is gone. Sprinkle it with cornmeal and add a little more oil. Fry until brown and crunchy and enjoy non-slimey okra!
