TEXAS TRASH

2 Sticks of Butter or Margarine
6 Dashes of Worchestershire Sauce
6 Dashes of Tabasco Sauce
3 Palmfuls of Lawrys Season Salt
12 Cups of Cereal and/or nuts

Melt butter in a low oven (250 degrees) in
a deep roasting pan. Add seasonings and stir
until mixed well, put back in oven until hot
again. Stir in cereal mixture gradually but
quickly, until all of it is coated. Put back in
oven and stir every 15 minutes for 1 hour, or
until cereal dries out.
I mix my cereal ahead of time in a paper
grocery bag. Cereal can be anything you
want practically. I use all the Chex cereals,
pretzels, bugles, cheerios, and nuts of any
kind. If you use roasted nuts though, you
have to cut down on the season salt because
it’s just too salty. I do not add any sweet
cereals.
When it’s done, I pour it back into the same
grocery bag and let it cool. It should look
like the photo and disappear like magic!
